Three Responses to Jesus

The story of the Magi as told in Matthews gospel highlights the different responses people make to the 'good news' of Jesus Christ. King Herod was troubled by the news, feeling his power and privelege to be threatened and the religious leaders were indifferent happy to immerse themselves in their religious duties but the Magi travelled to worship Jesus. The Magi were outsiders, those least expected to respond in this way and they serve

as a powerful reminder that the good news is for all!
