A people for his name
During September and October we thought about what it is to be Church
1. A people for His name - God has always called people to be in a community centred on himself
2. A Diverse people - We explored how the early church struggled with welcoming those who were different and the challenge for the modern church to welcome diversity.
3 A people of unity - The church as a body with each member having different gifts all working together to build up the whole.
4. A worshipping people - We worship as seek to follow God faithfully day by day, drawing together each Sunday to encourage one another.
5. A sacramental people - We explored the meaning of baptism and the Lords Supper, symbols of repentance and entry into his people and a remembering of his sacrificial death in through the sharing of bread and wine.
